My First Impression

Initially, I assumed Git and GitHub were the same thing. After exploring them, I learned that they serve different purposes.

Git is a version control system that tracks changes made to code.

GitHub is a cloud platform that hosts Git repositories and enables collaboration between developers.

Understanding this difference helped me appreciate how professional software teams manage projects.

Challenges I Faced

Learning Git wasn’t always straightforward. Understanding merge conflicts, remembering command syntax, and distinguishing between local and remote repositories initially felt confusing. I also encountered mistakes such as forgetting to stage files before committing or accidentally committing unnecessary files. However, each error became an opportunity to learn. With regular practice and by working on personal projects, Git gradually became a natural part of my development workflow.
